      Zone maintenance

      Zoning is directly linked to a service. For each service created, it is possible to have a different zoning. It is also possible to copy the zoning from other services.

      2 methods exist to create zoning, either by entering a postal code or by entering a city to get all related postal code.

      Zoning maintenance allows to assign agents for deliveries that won't be completed by sub-contractors.

       

      A. Service code

      The service must have been created in the services maintenance.

       

      B. Postal code

      1 to 6 characters of the postal code must be entered to determine the price zone.

       

      C. Zone

      Ideally, the zones must contain the same number of characters as the field is alphanumeric.

      For example, if you have 12 zones, you should use the format 01, 02, 03, etc...

       

      D. Pick/Del surcharge

      Enter the surcharge amount to be added to the base price for this zone.

       

      E. Sub-contractor supplement

      Enter the supplement amount or % to be added to the calculation of the sub-contractor's commission.

       

      F. Warehouse

      If you have access to the warehouse maintenance, enter the warehouse associated with this zone.

       

      G. Delivery agent

      If this is a service by agent, enter the agent's number for this zone and indicate how the calculation will be made.

       

      H. Lane route

      The lane route allows to pre-assign a call for delivery.

       

      I. By city postal code

      If you select this option, the software will ask the province and city to be selected and will find all postal code in the city to be entered in the zone.
